Product Care
Most items purchased in this store are made from PLA plastic. What is PLA? PLA stands for Polyactic Acid. It is a biodegradable, biocompatible plastic that's made from renewable resources like corn, sugar cane, sugar beet, and cassava; therefore, is more environmentally friendly than most plastics. PLA does, however, have some vulnerabilities, especially with heat and direct sunlight. Please follow the guidelines below to keep your items in the best condition:
- Avoid high temperatures. Don't leave PLA items near heat sources or in hot environments, such as a car on a sunny day. Depending on the part size, shape, and color, it may deform.
- Handling with care. Although PLA is relatively strong, it can crack or break under pressure. Be gentle when handling your 3D printed item, especially the thin or delicate parts.
- If an item breaks, you can often repair it with super glue.
- Please contact us with any questions.
- Clean your PLA objects with a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, use a slightly damp cloth, but avoid using harsh chemicals or immersing the item completely in water.
By following these basic care instructions, you can ensure your PLA 3D printed products last for many years.
